Want to be a cub?
There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform.

Not yet a Scout?
At Scouts, you get the chance to try out lots of different activities. Meeting new people and making friends is what Scouts is all about. We go camping every month - no parents allowed - check out our pages to see where we went last month and where we are going this month.

Andrew Beverly, Warranted Scout Leader, Queen's Scout, Gold Duke of Edinburgh

Andrew was a Beaver and a Cub with the 24th Bearsden and a Scout and Young Leader with the 1st. He travelled to St Kilda on the 'Prince William', participated in the International Crew for the Central European Jamboree and the service crew for the the international jamboree, Auchengillan 09.

Iain Hindshaw, Asst Scout Leader

  Iain is a recipient of the Gold Scout Award. He recently completed a Duke of Edinburgh trip to Peru which was supported by the 1st's international travel fund.

Sian Jenkins

    Sian is an ex-Girl Guides leader who is a member of Network Scouts. Network Scouts are for scouts aged 18-25 years old. Sian has attended loads of international camps and is going to the Scouting centenary celebrations in 2007.

Mark Scott, Asst Scout Leader

  Mark Scott is a recipient of the Gold Scout Award. He recently travelled to the Gambia as part of his Duke Of Edinburgh award. He was supported by the 1st international travel fund. He also assisted in the Czech Central European Jamboree, the Danish National Jamboree and the Polish National Jamboree.
