April Camp (04/07)

Scouts preparing camp directly after the Great Western Swimming Gala. Wonderful evening view across to the Highlands.
Axe and saw handling always present during camps. Typical morning breakfast with porridge and a fry-up.

5km Mugdock Fun Run (17/03/07)

Typical weather ! Still the same large field. Cubs, Scouts, dads, mums and leaders ran.
A return run for some; for others their first time. The Fastest First was back in 19 minutes.
Leaders ran, both young . . . . . . and old.

St Petersburg (02/07)

Robbie (SL) went on a Network Russia trip, a international Scouting friendly society, to the north of St Petersburg. He met up with Explorer, Network Scouts and Leaders from the UK and Russian students in Losevo.
There were many different activities, particulary ski-ing. Ice hockey too on the frozen river.
Every evening there were songs. And funny games.
There was a mad sled run down a hill. The Explorer scouts went deep into the forest to get firewood.
Camping at -20 might sound hard but each tent had a small stove inside. Some of the Russian friends we made.

Burns Night (25/01/07)

After Robbie piped the Haggis in and Raymond 'addressed' the Haggis, Deil tak' the hindmost. Scouts and Leaders tuck in. Welcome guest Andrew Ryan from Aberdeen Uni.

Cubs come up & new Senior Patrol Leader (24/01/07)

Old Cubs at their Moving On Ceremony at their last Grand Howl. Dominic receives Senior Patrol Leader stripes in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Cub Pack.

AGM (30/11/06)

David MacKay, GSL, retiring after 35 years, receives the Silver Acorn medal from David Smith, Area Commissioner, Greater Glasgow. Mrs Mac, caretaker and housekeeper of the First Glasgow, after receiving her 50 years service award last year , this year receives the Silver Acorn medal. Behind her stand Scout Leaders, Peter, Robbie and Alan.
Bernadette, Cub Leader, receives 'Boss' Young cup for contributing most to the Group over the past year Falcon PLs, Cameron and Felix, receive Patrol of the Year Cup.
